Walsh Construction completes Northwestern Medicine Outpatient Center in Huntley
Huntley, Illinois – Northwestern Medicine is welcoming patients to a new Outpatient Center on its Huntley Hospital campus, expanding access to advanced cancer, cardiovascular and specialty care throughout McHenry County and the surrounding region. Built by Walsh Construction, the approximately 80,000-square-foot medical office building expands existing services while bringing several new specialties to the Huntley campus.
The Outpatient Center expands oncology and infusion services, cardiac diagnostics, general surgery and urology, while adding gastroenterology, pulmonary medicine, palliative care and radiation oncology. The building also houses clinics for the Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute, Northwestern Medicine Regional Medical Group and the Canning Thoracic Institute.
A centerpiece of the new facility is a dedicated Cancer Center that doubles infusion capacity from eight to 16 rooms and increases medical oncology exam rooms from six to 13. The center also introduces radiation oncology and palliative care to the Huntley campus for the first time, allowing patients to access a broader range of cancer treatment and supportive care closer to home.
The new Outpatient Center is connected to Huntley Hospital by an enclosed walkway, providing direct access between the two facilities for patients, physicians and staff.
