Walsh Construction to expand and modernize AMITA Health Alexian Brothers Medical Center Elk Grove Village
Elk Grove Village, IL - Walsh Construction has been selected as the general contractor for a $107 million hospital improvement project at AMITA Health Alexian Brothers Medical Center Elk Grove Village. The expansion and renovation project will modernize the hospital's operating and recovery areas and deliver new inpatient rooms dedicated for neurological and spinal patients.
The hospital expansion will add more than 70,000 square feet and two new floors to the existing four-story building, including 36 new beds, new operating rooms and recovery space. The renovations will modernize over 200,000 square feet of existing space as well.

Eckenhoff Saunders Architects will serve as the lead designer, and the project is anticipated to be complete by Fall 2023.
Walsh Construction has partnered with AMITA Health for over 40 years, providing construction services to improve and expand medical care across suburban Chicago. Most recently, Walsh Construction completed AMITA Health's new Outpatient Pavilion at Adventist Medical Center La Grange, a project that featured a 26,000-square-foot building addition, along with 25,000 square feet of renovations.
