Archer Western Bridge Replacement Project Has Won Two Prestigious Awards
The San Sebastian River Bridge replacement was selected by the Florida Transportation Builders' Association (FTBA) as "Best in Construction" for 2013. The U.S. 1 bridge was selected as the best Design-Build project by an independent committee from FDOT and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). "It is a real honor to win one of these statewide awards," said Bob Burleson, FTBA president.
The project also recently won an "Honor Award" in the Transportation Category from DBIA Florida Region. The award will be presented to Archer Western at the annual DBIA Florida Region Conference in October. The project is eligible to receive Best Overall Project Award, which will be formally announced during the award ceremony.
