Charlotte’s South Corridor Light Rail line is approximately 10 miles long and operates on two tracks (northbound and southbound). The project included the construction of eight new bridges and modifications to four existing bridges. Other project attributes included construction of nine and a half miles of new double track; 300,000 square feet of MSE wall; 19 at-grade crossings; 280,000 cubic yards of cut to fill substructures for 12 stations; and improvements to 16 secondary roads.
