The I-90/I-95 Newton-Weston Interchange project includes the rehabilitation and replacement of eight bridges at the interchange of I-90 and I-95/Route 128. The design-build project includes five full bridge replacements, one bridge rehabilitation, and two superstructure replacements to improve long-term reliability and traffic movement through this heavily traveled corridor.
A major component of the project is the 1,000-foot I-90 crossing over the Charles River, requiring careful coordination around active roadway, river, and interchange conditions. Once complete, the improvements will modernize key bridge infrastructure, enhance safety, and support more efficient travel through one of the Boston area’s important regional connections.
