Walsh Construction transformed an existing facility into a state-of-the-art developmental facility for the university’s men’s and women’s basketball, volleyball, wrestling, baseball and softball programs. The renovations transformed an aging 85,000-square-foot facility (including an indoor fieldhouse, football staff offices, weight room and batting cages) adjacent to Welsh-Ryan Arena into a multi-use hub that dramatically streamlines the daily student-athlete experience. The space includes three courts, top-of-the-line sports medicine, athletic training and rehabilitation areas; ultramodern strength and conditioning facilities; technologically advanced team meeting rooms; and an expanded performance nutrition hub for wrestling, baseball and softball.
