This LEED Silver Certified project included the construction of 40,000 square feet of hangar space for maintenance of six Blackhawk UH-60 helicopters. Project also included space for administrative offices, parts and tool storage, a hazardous materials storage facility, petroleum oils and lubricant storage, organizational equipment storage and organizational parking, building information systems, fire protection and alarm systems, and an Energy Monitoring Control Systems connection. In addition to the large-scale hangar, the project included the placement of airfield pavement for an 80,000-square-foot apron that connects to the main taxiway and a 40,000-square-foot hangar floor to satisfy increased transient aircraft operations.
