The Walsh Group participates in Construction Safety Week 2026, reinforcing commitment to protecting workers
Chicago, Ill. - The Walsh Group, one of the largest contractors in the United States, is proud to participate in Construction Safety Week 2026, taking place May 4-8, alongside industry partners across North America.
Construction Safety Week is the industry’s annual initiative uniting contractors, owners and skilled craft professionals around a shared commitment to preventing serious injuries and fatalities and ensuring every worker returns home safely. This year’s theme, “All in Together,” emphasizes a unified approach to safety through the pillars Recognize, Respond and Respect, with a focus on high energy, high hazard work.
“As a founding member of Safety Week, The Walsh Group is proud to stand with our industry partners and reinforce our commitment to jobsite safety,” said Brian Geist, vice president of health, safety and environment at The Walsh Group. “The week provides an opportunity to recognize our people, share best practices and strengthen the training and systems that protect our workforce.”
Construction Safety Week 2026 includes a new alliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), reinforcing a shared commitment to preventing serious injuries and advancing Total Worker Health across the construction project life cycle. As part of this collaboration, Safety Week and OSHA will again partner on the National Safety Stand Down to Prevent Falls in Construction, encouraging companies across the U.S. and Canada to pause work on May 6, or during the week, to participate in the industry’s largest coordinated safety stand down.
Throughout the week, The Walsh Group, operating as Walsh Construction and Archer Western Construction, will engage teams across its jobsites in safety discussions, stand downs and recognition activities that highlight the importance of hazard awareness, personal responsibility and teamwork.
