The Walsh Group promotes Phil Griffith to Vice President of Midwest Transportation
CHICAGO, IL - The Walsh Group is pleased to announce the promotion of Phil Griffith to Vice President within the company’s transportation division.
As Vice President, Phil will provide oversight and leadership for transportation projects within the Midwest, including Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan and Missouri. His responsibilities will include consultation with owners, monitoring project progress, and supervision and review of management systems and staff.

Phil has 27 years of construction experience, with 20 years at Walsh Construction; previously serving as Regional Operations Manager leading some of the Midwest’s most technically challenging transportation projects. His work spans major highway and transit initiatives, including the $492 million I-270 Chain of Rocks Bridge Replacement, the $2.1 billion Phase One of the Chicago Transit Authority’s (CTA) Red Purple Modernization, and the I-490 Elgin-to-O’Hare Union Pacific Railroad Bridge. Phil is also playing a key role in the upcoming $2.8 billion CTA Red Line Extension project.
