The Walsh Group completes Information Systems Facility at Joint Base Lewis-McChord
Joint Base Lewis McChord, Washington – The Walsh Group, one of the largest construction service providers in the United States, has completed the new Information Systems Facility at Joint Base Lewis-McChord for the Network Enterprise Center. This project consisted of the construction of an approximately 44,000-square-foot facility that includes departmental workspaces divided into specific security zones that address special use spaces. The facility also includes administrative offices, open office space, and multipurpose meeting rooms, reception area, customer support center, and loading service areas.
Elements of the steel-framed building, include exterior structural CMU walls and CFS trusses. The exterior façade is composed of modular brick, metal wall panels, aluminum windows and storefronts, and standing seem metal roof.
The Information Systems Facility is the latest project to join the portfolio of work that The Walsh Group has completed across Joint Base Lewis-McChord in the last five years. Walsh recently completed the award-winning Joint Regional Confinement Facility in 2022, as well as a new air traffic control tower and maintenance hangar.
