Illinois Tollway awards Walsh Construction $218.9 million in new contracts
Downers Grove, IL - The Illinois Tollway recently awarded Walsh Construction with two construction contracts at its October board meeting.
- a $214.8 million contract was awarded for earthwork and construction of a new Union Pacific Railroad bridge over the Canadian Pacific Railway Bensenville Yard as part of the I-490 Tollway project.
- a $4.1 million contract was awarded to remove the Hinsdale Oasis pavilion and bridge as part of the Central Tri-State (I-294) Project.
These contracts are a part of the Tollway's 15-year, $14 billion Move Illinois capital program.
