Archer Western awarded contract for $112.5 million Pierce-Burch Water Treatment Plant Improvements Project
Arlington, Texas - The City of Arlington has awarded Archer Western Construction with a construction contract for the Pierce-Burch Water Treatment Plant Chemical, Clearwell, and Pump Station Improvements Project. This $112.5 million project will increase the plant’s capacity and reliability for residents. Work includes a new high service pump station, two new clearwells, a new chemical storage and feed facility, two new electrical power distribution buildings, new filter wash water/recycle basins, new stormwater facilities, miscellaneous piping and site improvements, and backup generators to support the facility.
Construction is set to begin in November 2021 and is anticipated for completion 2025.
