Walsh Construction breaks ground on new Outpatient Center
La Grange, IL – Construction is officially underway on an addition to the AMITA Health Adventist Medical Center. The $21 million project will include a new 26,000-square-foot Outpatient Center along with 25,000 square feet of renovations within the existing structure.
The new addition will include six orthopedic operating rooms, as well as a sterile processing department, a cardiac department and associated service areas. The added surgical space will allow for new monitors, lights and robotic surgery equipment to aid in more advanced procedures.
“Patients will be able to have their pre-operative, inpatient and post-operative experiences all in one place. We’re committed to meeting the community’s needs with this new environment and quality of care,” said Michael Murrill, president and CEO at AMITA Health Adventist Medical Center La Grange.
The phased completion of the project will occur between late 2019 and early 2020.
