DFW TERMINAL F
DFW Terminal F: Modular Construction, Precision, and Partnership
The first phase of Dallas Fort Worth International Airport's (DFW) Terminal F is being delivered by Innovation Next+, a design‑build joint venture led by Archer Western and Turner Construction Company with Phillips May Corporation, H. J. Russell & Company, and CARCON, alongside design partners PGAL, Gensler, and GFT. The program centers on a nearly 400,000‑square‑foot, double‑loaded concourse and a new Skylink station. As DFW’s first all‑new terminal build in two decades, the design will expand capacity while elevating the customer experience. Construction launched in mid‑2024 and the first phase is scheduled to be operational in 2027.
This film chronicles how the team embraced modular construction at an unprecedented scale, fabricating six mega‑modules offsite, then moving them down a taxiway and setting them in place in August 2025. The largest module measured 278 feet by 136 feet and weighed 3,320 tons, a record‑setting feat that DFW and the JV describe as the largest modules moved for a terminal expansion at any airport.
