The Brent Spence Bridge Corridor Project will deliver a new cable-stayed companion bridge alongside the existing Brent Spence Bridge, a critical Ohio River crossing between Kentucky and Ohio. Led by the Walsh Kokosing Design-Build Team, the project also includes major roadway improvements, more than 40 overpasses and underpasses, and reconstructed connections to the existing bridge. Originally opened in 1963, the current bridge carries far more traffic than it was designed for, making it one of the nation’s largest freight and traffic bottlenecks. The project will improve safety, reduce congestion, and strengthen a key interstate commerce corridor.
