VIDEO: South Cross Bayou Wastewater Treatment Plant temporary tie-in and by-pass system
Behind every successful operation is a plan, and the people who challenge it, refine it, and ultimately bring it to life.
The relocation of the 48‑inch Denitrification Filters influent pipe at the South Cross Bayou Wastewater Treatment Plant was the result of years of deliberate planning and collaboration. This was one of the most challenging operations our Archer Western Florida Water team faced, but their planning began more than two years ago with early brainstorming that evolved through constant evaluation. From detailed 3D scanning to scenario modeling, the team worked through every obstacle to ensure alignment, efficiency, and readiness long before construction began.
Managing approximately 30 MGD of influent flow required confidence in both the plan and the people executing it. That trust, built through preparation and teamwork, enabled a carefully engineered temporary by‑pass system and a flawless tie‑in, reinforcing the belief that the strongest results come from teams who plan together and execute as one.
