The Walsh Group promotes Thor Benson to Vice President of South Central Water
Irving, Texas – The Walsh Group, one of the largest construction services providers in the United States, has promoted Thor Benson to Vice President of South Central Water. Benson’s promotion coincides with the establishment of the South Central Water Region for The Walsh Group, a new business line created to support the company’s continued growth throughout Central and South Texas, including the Austin and San Antonio markets.
Benson will provide leadership for water and wastewater projects across the region, including consultation with project owners, monitoring project performance, and supervision of management systems and staff to support successful project delivery.

During his nearly three decades of experience, Thor has built a successful career delivering critical water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Most recently serving as Program Manager for South Texas water projects, his portfolio of experience includes the Hutto South Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion, the Kyle Water Treatment Plant Expansion Early Works Package, and numerous projects for San Antonio Water System, including the recently completed Randolph Pump Station.
Through his leadership and successful delivery of significant infrastructure, Thor has helped grow The Walsh Group’ presence and strengthen the company's position as a leading provider of water and wastewater infrastructure solutions in the region.
