Welcome to Safety Week 2023
The Walsh Group is excited to join the construction industry in Safety Week 2023! This special week is dedicated to the ultimate goal of everyone here at The Walsh Group: No One Gets Hurt. These next five days provide added opportunities to recognize our safety achievements, while continuing to learn and build upon our Actively Caring Culture.
Project teams and offices across The Walsh Group have planned activities throughout the week to engage our work forces, proactively discuss safety as a core value, demonstrate best practices from across the industry, and focus on the wellbeing and mental health of our team members.
The theme for this year’s safety week is “Strong Voices. Safe Choices.” In the video above, Sean Walsh, Vice President of Health, Safety and Environment is joined by safety leaders Hank Botterman and Mike Lawler to discuss the Safety Week initiative and the importance of collaboration, participation and recognition.
"Each of us must find ways to be collaborative, accountable, and relentless. In doing so we can truly create strong voices and safe choices," said Sean Walsh. "This week I encourage you to join your fellow team members in pursuit of safety excellence; actively participate in the day’s events, learn something new, set an example, raise your voice, and unite in safety."

Construction Safety Week is an annual event designed to raise the awareness of the industry's ongoing commitment to building a culture of safety through sharing best practices, tools and resources at job sites and offices across the United States and Canada. Safety Week was founded by members of The Construction Industry Safety Initiative (CISI), including The Walsh Group, and the Incident & Injury Free Executive Forum (IIF) and now includes 90 of the top contractors in the industry, representing thousands of workers. Additional support comes from Safety Week sponsors, partners and advocates.
