Miami, FL – The Archer Western-deMoya joint venture continues to progress on the Signature Bridge project in downtown Miami. The SR 836/I-395 rebuild is continuing throughout all three project corridors. Once completed, 4.5 miles of SR 836/I-395 will be reconstructed and widened, with a double decked section created and the Signature Bridge adding to the Miami skyline. Crews are forming the reinforcing steel for the rebar cage in the bridge’s center pier footer, utilizing approximately 1.7 million pounds of steel. Other progress features include erecting nearly 600 prefabricated bridge segments to date, foundation and pier construction along I-395, double-decked section taking shape along SR 836 and widening of ramp lanes along I-95.
