Aerial footage showcases progress on Hilltop Tacoma Link Extension
TACOMA, WA - The Walsh Group has installed light rail track and placed concrete along 16,071 linear feet for Sound Transit's Hilltop Tacoma Link Extension. Crews are over 60 percent complete on the project that will add 2.4 miles of light rail, linking downtown Tacoma's Theatre District to the Stadium District and Hilltop neighborhoods. The project will more than double the length of Tacoma Link and will also include six new stations along the new line. The light tail line is expected to open in 2022.
