Center for Science & Allied Health Recognized for Success and Sustainability
LAFAYETTE, CA - Walsh Construction and design-build partners, Clark/Sullivan Construction and JKA Architecture, received an Outstanding Project & Sustainability Excellence Award for the work on the Barbara Lee Center for Science & Allied Health at Merritt College in Oakland, CA. The 110,000-square-foot building features classrooms, laboratories and various educational and student support spaces. The team's commitment to sustainable design and construction resulted in the building's LEED Gold certification. The award was presented by the Western Council of Construction Consumers.
