Archer Western Contractors, Ltd. was awarded CM @ Risk for the City of Surprise Special Planning Area (SPA 1) Water Reclamation Facility, Plant IV and Plant V 8.0 MGD Expansion Project. Archer Western was selected as the highest ranked firm, based upon past performance, similar experience, team assembled, and the ability to fast track the project. There are seven contracts associated with this project to date; CM@Risk Preconstruction Services, GMP #1, GMP #2, GMP #3, GMP #4, GMP #5, and GMP #6. The project was designed and constructed in phases. The scope of work in GMP #1 and #2 was associated with the existing Plant III Interim Improvements. GMP #3 was the first GMP for work associated with the construction of the new Plant IV and Plant V. The construction of Plants IV and V were built in phases under GMP #3 - #6. New construction highlights of these packages include: Disinfection Building and Disinfection Electrical Room; Sodium Hypochlorite Onsite Generator System; Disinfection Contact Tanks; Influent Valve Station; Maintenance Building for City of Surprise; and Influent Electric (Oxidation) Building.
