Over the past seventeen years, The Walsh Group has constructed a series of national and regional Distribution Centers for Target Corporation. Completed in December 2008, the Target Fulfillment Center in Tucson was the first prototype of its kind. The center is located on a 99-acre site, which is the anchor of a 137-acre Rita Tech Park. The roof of the Target building encompasses 22 acres. There are 27 acres of pavement consisting of both the Target lot and the public and private park roads. The interior of the Target building includes three remote office pods totaling 25,000 SF of office space. The scope of work included extensive excavation and site work and the design and coordination of all mechanical, electrical, fire protection, plumbing, CCTV, and fire alarm systems.
