This project began with site demolition, which consisted of the removal of existing buildings and structures including the Oak Lawn METRA Station, an existing surface commuter parking lot, the existing Groebe Realty Building, and a residence located at 9521 West 95th Street. In its place, Walsh constructed a five level pre-cast concrete parking structure to accommodate a minimum of 768 passenger vehicles as well as a new 6,075 SF masonry METRA Station and Loggia. Included within the scope of work was all civil work including site utilities, street pavements, curbs, sidewalks, ornamental roadway and site lighting, and associated hardscape and landscape improvements including an underground irrigation system.
