Located in the heart of the Historic District of downtown Savannah Georgia, this parking structure serves the City of Savannah with some very much needed parking in the old section of the city. Savannah welcomes over a half million visitors per year into this area, and this facility adds to the already southern historic charm the area of the city communicates to its out of town guests. This project is a five-story concrete framed post tensioned structure delivered under the traditional design-bid-build method. The design accommodates 700 parked vehicles over approximately 290,000 gross SF. This parking deck features a swirl finish on all driving and parking surfaces, which has become a signature of Walker Parking Consultants, the structural engineer for the project.
