Walsh Construction partnered with Parsons, who provided engineering services, on this design-build project. The facility has precast structural spandrel beams with integral cast-in-place brick facing that matches the general architectural style of the downtown Highland Park area. The 86,917 SF facility provides a total of 282 parking spaces (141 spaces in each two-level structure) as well as direct access to rail platforms and adjacent parks. The project features unique detailed architectural and landscaping finishes, including architectural metal railings to match local walkways and removable planter boxes with automatic sprinkler irrigation systems. The structure was awarded the International Parking Institute’s Award of Merit for 2005.
