The Malcom Randall VA Medical Center will be a new 5-story patient bed tower of approximately 245,000 SF. It will include a mechanical penthouse, four floors of patient beds and the ground floor for supporting services including Urology, Ophthalmology and Chest Pain Observation. This new bed tower will provide 240 private patient rooms with space in each room for family members to correct the existing patient privacy deficiencies in the existing hospital. The construction of a satellite emergency generator building and the removal and upgrade of two existing chillers and cooling towers is also part of this contract.
