The VA Cleveland Cares Tower is an 8-story, 268,000 SF addition to the VA medical center in Cleveland, OH. The site plan is carefully designed to integrate physical security requirements while maintaining the grounds as an important amenity for ambulatory patients. The building’s 3-story base is a comprehensive rehabilitation center dedicated to enhancing quality of life for veterans, including a blind rehab patient unit to train those who have lost their sight, a physical rehab center, and a spinal cord injury unit. The 6-story tower houses nursing home care inpatient units and mental health inpatient beds.
