The Joint Venture project between Walsh and DeMaria Bldg Co. involved design and construction services for the Blind Rehabilitation Center and Spinal Cord Injury Center at the Edward Hines, Jr. Hospital in Hines, IL. The 117,000 SF project contains 102 beds. The Blind Rehab Center spans a total of 58,000 SF and contains 34 beds. The Spinal Cord Injury Center is a single story building consisting of 59,000 SF and 68 beds. Both buildings contain open courtyards for patient activities and both buildings have covered entry canopies.
