The Jay Pritzker Pavilion serves as the centerpiece of Chicago’s Millennium Park and is among the world’s most technologically advanced outdoor concert venues. The 52,000 SF pavilion features a performance shell with 679 massive curving stainless steel panels and seats 4,000 patrons. Sprawling outward from the pavilion stage and seating area is the Great Lawn, a high-tech sand-based lawn seating area crisscrossed above by a steel trellis system, which contains one of the most sophisticated sound systems in the world. The lawn holds an additional 7,000 people, spans 95,000 SF, and is designed to drain in 10-15 minutes after a hard rain.
