This minor league baseball stadium is home of the Joliet JackHammers. Covering an area of about seven acres under a fast track, 10 month schedule, the project was completed on time for opening day. The scope of work on the project consisted of all necessary sitework and landscaping for the playing field, a grandstand structure with 5900 general seats and 300 suite seats, a press box, concession facilities, team locker rooms, administrative offices, and facility parking. The building structure is composed of a structural steel frame with brick façade, and features detailed finishes. The field has light towers that extend to 75 feet (higher than most minor and major league ballparks) and weigh 311 pounds per foot. The ballpark includes design features that honor some of the City of Joliet’s signature architectural features.
