Walsh has performed a series of renovations, restorations, and additions for the Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority at the McCormick Place Conference Center. These projects have involved a variety of work in a variety of disciplines; the Arie Crown Theater project involved the conversion of an existing structure in McCormick Place into a 45,000 SF multi-function facility and the complete reconstruction of another existing convention hall facility into a theater space with seating for 4,300. A renovation of the Level B podium area at the south end of the east hall and construction of a plaza fountain adjacent to Lake Michigan was successfully performed over the same time period.
