This contract involves the site development and building construction of the four-story, 147,000 SF Education and Human Services Building at Central Michigan University. The building houses classrooms, offices, an auditorium, and outreach programs. The 200-seat auditorium is technology-rich to provide an exciting learning environment for students, alumni, and the community. It is complete with technology and wireless throughout; any space can become a computer lab. There are open student study areas at the end of every floor that can become mini-computer labs and conference areas. Planned as CMU’s first LEED construction project, the building is designed to be both energy efficient and environmentally friendly.
