This computing center and office facility for the IRS was accomplished using a steel structural frame with an exterior of aluminum, glass and precast concrete. This project consisted of three new structures with a total gross area of almost 900,000 SF. The facility contains a ten-story, 540,000 SF office building including three computer floors; a ten-story structural precast parking garage for 850 cars; and a separate three-story “Energy Center” which houses the emergency generators, electrical switch gear, chillers, boilers, cooling towers and pumps of the air distribution system.
