The Consolidated Rental Car Facility (CRCF) is where rental car agencies store, maintain and rent automobiles to airport patrons. It is made up of two major sections: the first is a four-story 1,870-space garage and the second a 36,000 SF "Quick Turn Around" facility. The CRCF was built on the northeast corner of the intersection of 55th Street and Laramie Avenue.
The first area is referred to as the Garage and the Customer Service Facility (CSF). It is a 1,870 vehicle multi-storied garage located on the west half of the site. It stores all rental vehicles as well as the Customer Service Facility (CSF). The second area (eastern portion) includes the Quick Turn Around (QTA) Facility, a 36,000 SF area where the cars are fueled, washed and prepared for rental.
The facility includes multiple green aspects including wind turbines atop the parking garage, a green roof above the wash bays, photovoltaic solar panels at the fuel station canopy, and an underground rain water storage system utilized for surface landscape irrigation.
