Bishop International Airport awarded a $6 Million contract to Walsh Construction to add two additional luggage carousels to the terminal of the regional airport, which serves both Oakland and Genesee counties in eastern Michigan. The terminal expansion also included room to accommodate two new car rental agencies. The airport doubled the number of luggage carousels at Bishop Airport because of an increased number of passengers. The expansion was necessary due to long wait times for luggage at the two existing carousels.
