Walsh Construction offered to help the Cascade County, Montana club renovate space in its building to accommodate the growing number of students. As the program, situated in a Great Falls' Westside neighborhood, has expanded, space has become an issue. Walsh approached the agency with the offer to provide any sort of construction work they could do for the club. It just so happened the Boys and Girls Club Westside location needed a renovation.
Crews have removed two walls to open up two small program areas into one large space. All club members use the selected space, but kindergarten and first-grade students use it most often. The updated space will allow for additional cupboards and age-appropriate furniture. Other updates include new carpet, countertops, raising the ceiling tiles, and painting the new space and entryway. Walsh became aware the building needed improvements while working on the 2-year Rainbow Dam Redevelopment project in the Great Falls area. The Boys and Girls Club gave the firm an opportunity to contribute financially and to collaborate with volunteers and other local businesses. Click here to read more: |
