John's Creek Wins Safety Award

Liberty Mutual Group proudly recognizes the employees of Archer Western Contractors for exceptional safety performance in the completion of John's Creek Environmental Campus Wastewater Treatment Facility. Archer Western recently received the Liberty Mutual Silver Commendation Award for its continuing commitment to safety. The award was presented to Juan Rodriguez, Safety Manager of Archer Western by Richard Disser, Liberty Mutual Senior Loss Control Consultant, at the John's Creek Environmental Wastewater Treatment Facility on November 2, 2009.

 John's Creek was a design-build project consisting of the construction of a new 15mgd wastewater advanced treatment facility. The facility uses an activated sludge treatment process using a Zenon Membrane Bio-reator as the major treatment process technology.

Having achieved significantly better safety performance than average for their industry, Archer Western obtained a DART rate of at least 60% better than the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The company received assistance from Liberty Mutual in identifying loss sources, recommending improvements to their existing safety program, and providing safety training for employees and supervisors.
