The Maggie Daley Park ice skating ribbon officially opened December 13th with a ribbon cutting ceremony attended by Mayor Rahm Emanuel and members of the Daley family.

Walsh Investors, LLC, a nationally-recognized infrastructure developer, announced today that its team, WMB Heartland Justice Partners, has been selected as the preferred bidder by the city of Indianapolis to build the county’s new justice complex under a Public-Private-Partnership (P3) structure.

Pennsylvania has awarded a $899 million contract to Plenary Walsh Keystone Partners to design, replace and maintain 558 bridges around the state for the next 25 years. The contract – the biggest ever awarded by PennDOT – uses a public-private partnership (P3) approach to tackling the state's problem with an abundance of structurally deficient bridges. It keeps the bridges under state ownership but transfers the responsibility for their design, construction and 25-year upkeep to this private sector team.

Walsh Construction received the National Steel Bridge Alliance’s 2014 Steel Bridge Competition Merit Award (Medium Span Category) for the North Halsted Street Tied Arch Bridge project in recognition for outstanding design in structural steel.

The mating pair of peregrine falcons that have been residing on Milton-Madison Bridge have had another successful year. During the four mating seasons that Walsh Construction has worked on the new bridge, the pair have produced 15 offspring.

The Chicago Riverwalk project will transform a six-block stretch of the downtown riverfront into a linear park with areas such as fountains, a theater, and room for recreational boats.
